Bodywork

It is within the body where we find our deepest knowing, and it is through care and attention to our bodies that we truly begin to "inner-stand" not only ourselves, but also our outer selves and our connection to the world. As an intuitive guide and bodyworker, I work intentionally with your body to soothe and regulate the nervous system so that you feel safe to unwind and tune into your inner landscape, where you can begin to explore emotional and physical holding patterns, and find space to soften and reset.

Birth Support

As a mother, I understand the challenges, the intensities, and the great responsibility that comes along with bringing a human into this world. As your doula, I get to know you and your unique needs and preferences. I provide emotional, physical, and educational support to you and your partner, and I am dedicated to helping you have a satisfying birth experience. My services include prenatal visits, birth planning and preparation, prenatal massage, labor and birth support, postpartum care, and lactation support.

“Talented therapist & healer”

“When I found Altranise, I realized for the first time the full healing and therapeutic experience of a great massage. Her talent as a therapist and healer cannot be overstated. Most unique is her intuition and knowledge about the body, pain, and the ways in which different massage modalities can bring healing through physical touch. Every time I leave her table I feel better, like a burden of physical discomfort has been lifted.
I recommend her to anyone looking to ease trauma, find relief from physical ailments, or achieve deeper relaxation.”

Hi, I’m Altranise

MA, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Doula, Community Lactation Educator

My experiences as a mother and as a birth and bodyworker have led me to one of my most important truths: it is through the art of mothering and nurturing ourselves that we are able to mother and nurture others.

I mother myself by receiving bodywork, through somatic practices: through showing up as my authentic, vulnerable self. I work to share these same acts of love and to provide a consensual, respectful space for each person who entrusts me as their birthworker or bodyworker.

“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”

—Audre Lorde
